Transforming Generations is a non-profit organization providing support services to victims and survivors of gender-based violence in Hmong and Southeast Asian communities.
Our Philosophy
At Transforming Generations, we believe that people have the capacity to grow, change, and adapt; and that they have the knowledge to solve their own problems. We support people in defining what healing looks like for them and how to get there; and we’ll be there every step of the way with them.
At Transforming Generations, we use compassionate accountability and a strength-based/person-centered approach to support people in meeting their goals. To learn more about what we do, check out our programs and services.
History
Transforming Generations was founded in 2016. Hmong advocates saw that there was a need for services that were more culturally relevant for Hmong victim/survivors of gender-based violence.
Mission
Our mission is to organize, educate, and transform cultural and power dynamics to end gender-based violence.
Vision
Creating a world where gender equity is the norm and violence is not accepted.
